La Liga (Week 16) : Granada hold Getafe to 1-1
SPAIN, Dec. 21, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 16: The match between Granada and Getafe ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Granada players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Colombian forward Cordoba in the 40th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Getafe with a saving goal from Uruguayan defender Velazquez in the 78th minute.
Getafe CF climbed to 12nd place with 17 points from 16 games, 2 points behind Athletic Bilbao, which has a game in hand.
