SPAIN, Dec. 20, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 16: After their 0-0 draw against Getafe on December 13, Barca bounced back with a 5-0 victory over Cordoba this Saturday.
Lionel Messi scored dual goals
Barcelona dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Pedro in the 2nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Barca further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Suárez '53, Piqué '80 and Messi '82, '90).
FC Barcelona remains in second place with 38 points from 16 games, one point behind Real Madrid, which has a game in hand.
