La Liga (Week 16) : Atletico beats Bilbao 4-1
SPAIN, Dec. 21, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 16: After losing 0-1 to Villarreal on December 14, Los Colchoneros returned to winning ways with a 4-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao this Sunday.
Antoine Griezmann scored tripple goals
Athletic Bilbao had started off well by taking the lead in the 17th minute with a goal by midfielder Rico. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Los Colchoneros nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring four times in the second period (Griezmann '46, '73, '81 and García '53 on penalty).
Atletico Madrid remains in third place with 35 points from 16 games, 3 points behind FC Barcelona.
