La Liga (Week 17) : Atletico beats Levante 3-1
SPAIN, Jan. 3, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 17: Two wins in a row for Atletico Madrid. After their 1-4 win against Athletic Bilbao on December 21, Los Colchoneros continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-1 victory over Levante this Saturday.
Antoine Griezmann scored dual goals
Atletico Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by French midfielder Antoine Griezmann in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Colchoneros further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Griezmann '47 and Godín '82).
Atletico Madrid remains in third place with 38 points from 17 games, tie on points with FC Barcelona, which has a game in hand.
