La Liga (Week 5) : Real Madrid beats Bilbao 2-1
SPAIN, Sep. 23, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 5: Four wins in a row for Real Madrid. After their success against Real Betis, Espanyol and Granada, Los Blancos continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao this Wednesday.
Karim Benzema scored dual goals
Real Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by French forward Karim Benzema in the 19th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Blancos further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Benzema in the 70th minute.
Real Madrid climbed to first place with 13 points from 5 games, tie on points with runner-up Celta Vigo.
