La Liga (Week 17) : Real Madrid beats Real Sociedad 3-1
SPAIN, Dec. 30, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 17: Two wins in a row for Real Madrid. After their 10-2 win against Rayo Vallecano on December 20, Los Blancos continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-1 victory over Real Sociedad this Wednesday.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored dual goals
Real Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo in the 42nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Blancos further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ronaldo '67 and Vazquez Lucas '86).
Real Madrid climbed to first place with 36 points from 17 games, one point ahead of runner-up FC Barcelona, which has two games in hand.
