La Liga (Week 17) : Villarreal beats Valencia 1-0
SPAIN, Dec. 31, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 17: Four wins in a row for Villarreal. After their success against Rayo Vallecano, Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, El Submarino Amarillo continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 1-0 victory over Valencia this Thursday.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Villarreal midfielder Soriano Bruno in the 64th minute.
Villarreal CF climbed to fourth place with 33 points from 17 games, 3 points behind Real Madrid.
