La Liga (Week 16) : Villarreal beats Real Sociedad 2-0
SPAIN, Dec. 20, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 16: Three wins in a row for Villarreal. After their success against Rayo Vallecano and Real Madrid, El Submarino Amarillo continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad this Sunday.
Denis Suárez scored dual goals
Villarreal dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Denis Suárez in the 27th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, El Submarino Amarillo further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Suárez with just 2 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Villarreal CF remains in fifth place with 30 points from 16 games, one point behind Celta Vigo.
