SPAIN, Feb. 17, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 16: 7 wins in a row for Barcelona. After their success against Granada, Athletic Bilbao, Malaga, Atletico Madrid, Levante and Celta Vigo, Barca continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-1 victory over Sporting Gijon this Wednesday.
Lionel Messi scored dual goals
Barcelona dominated the first half thanks to goals from Messi ('25, '31). Leading 2-1 at the break, Barca further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Suárez in the 67th minute.
FC Barcelona remains in first place with 60 points from 24 games, a 6-point lead over runner-up Atletico Madrid.
