La Liga (Week 16) : Real Madrid beats Rayo 10-2
SPAIN, Dec. 20, 2015 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 16: After losing 1-0 to Villarreal on December 13, Los Blancos returned to winning ways with a 10-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano this Sunday.
Gareth Bale served up another goal feast
Real Madrid dominated the first half thanks to goals from Danilo Luiz ('3), Bale ('25, '41) and Ronaldo ('30 on penalty). Leading 4-2 at the break, Los Blancos further widened their lead in the second period by scoring six times (Benzema '48, '79, '90, Ronaldo '53 and Bale '61, '70).
Real Madrid remains in third place with 33 points from 16 games, 2 points behind Atletico Madrid, which has a game in hand.
