La Liga (Week 18) : Villarreal defeats Deportivo 2-1

SPAIN, Jan. 3, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 18: Five wins in a row for Villarreal. After their success against Rayo Vallecano, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Valencia, El Submarino Amarillo continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Deportivo La Coruna this Sunday.

Soriano Bruno scored dual goals

Villarreal dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Soriano Bruno in the 36th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, El Submarino Amarillo further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Soriano Bruno on penalty in stoppage time.

Villarreal CF remains in fourth place with 36 points from 18 games, tie on points with Real Madrid, which has a game in hand.
