La Liga (Week 18) : Getafe beats Gijon 2-1
SPAIN, Jan. 4, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 18: After three straigth draws, Los Azulones returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Sporting Gijon this Monday.
Sporting Gijon had started off well by taking the lead in the 16th minute with a goal by Paraguayan forward Sanabria Antonio. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Los Azulones nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Cala Juan '69 and Sarabia '71).
Getafe CF climbed to 13rd place with 20 points from 18 games, only one point behind RCD Espanyol.
