La Liga (Week 19) : Villarreal beats Gijon 2-0
SPAIN, Jan. 10, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 19: 6 wins in a row for Villarreal. After their success against Rayo Vallecano, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad, Valencia and Deportivo La Coruna, El Submarino Amarillo continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-0 victory over Sporting Gijon this Sunday.
Bakambu Cedric scored dual goals
Villarreal dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Bakambu Cedric in the 26th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, El Submarino Amarillo further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Bakambu Cedric in the 51st minute.
Villarreal CF remains in fourth place with 39 points from 19 games, one point behind Real Madrid.
