La Liga (Week 19) : Sevilla defeats Bilbao 2-0
SPAIN, Jan. 9, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 19: After losing 2-1 to Granada on January 3, Los Sevillistas returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao this Saturday.
Kevin Gameiro scored dual goals
Sevilla dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by French forward Kevin Gameiro in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Sevillistas further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Gameiro on penalty in the 59th minute.
Sevilla FC climbed to 6th place with 29 points from 19 games, 2 points behind Celta Vigo, which has a game in hand.
