La Liga (Week 20) : Atletico defeats Las Palmas 3-0
SPAIN, Jan. 17, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 20: Four wins in a row for Atletico Madrid. After their success against Rayo Vallecano, Levante and Celta Vigo, Los Colchoneros continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-0 victory over Las Palmas this Sunday.
Antoine Griezmann scored dual goals
Atletico Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian defender Luis Filipe in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Colchoneros further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Griezmann '69, '89).
Atletico Madrid remains in first place with 47 points from 20 games, a 4-point lead over runner-up Real Madrid.
