La Liga (Week 20) : Valencia hold Rayo to 2-2
SPAIN, Jan. 17, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 20: The match between Valencia and Rayo Vallecano ended in a 2-2 draw on Sunday.
Rayo Vallecano players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Rayo Vallecano midfielder Jozabed in the 15th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Llorente goal ('69) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Valencia with goals by Álvaro Negredo ('55) and Paco Alcácer ('88).
Valencia CF climbed to 10th place with 24 points from 20 games, 4 points behind Deportivo La Coruna.
