La Liga (Week 20) : Getafe beats Espanyol 3-1
SPAIN, Jan. 17, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 20: Three wins in a row for Getafe. After their success against Sporting Gijon and Real Betis, Los Azulones continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 3-1 victory over Espanyol this Sunday.
Espanyol opened the score in the score in the 26th minute thanks to Perez Hernan, before Getafe regained the advantage with Leon Pedro ('29) and Sarabia ('37). Leading 2-1 at the break, Los Azulones further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Gomez Moi in stoppage time.
Getafe CF climbed to 10th place with 26 points from 20 games, 2 points behind Deportivo La Coruna.
