La Liga (Week 21) : Espanyol and Villarreal play out 2-2 draw
SPAIN, Jan. 23, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 21: Villarreal was held to a 2-2 draw by Espanyol on Saturday.
Espanyol players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Caicedo ('4) and Moreno ('40) while Villarreal only scored once Trigueros Manuel ('24). However, even though they were leading 2-1 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Villarreal with a saving goal from Argentine defender Mateo Musacchio in the 88th minute.
Villarreal CF remains in fourth place with 41 points from 21 games, 2 points behind Real Madrid, which has a game in hand.
