La Liga (Week 26) : Barcelona beats Sevilla 2-1
SPAIN, Feb. 28, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 26: 9 wins in a row for Barcelona. After their success against Granada, Athletic Bilbao, Malaga, Atletico Madrid, Levante, Celta Vigo, Sporting Gijon and Las Palmas, Barca continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Sevilla this Sunday.
Sevilla midfielder Vitolo Perez opened the score in the 20th minute, before seeing Barcelona catch up in the 31st minute thanks to Lionel Messi. 1-1 at half time. Barca eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Piqué in the 48th minute.
FC Barcelona remains in first place with 66 points from 26 games, a 8-point lead over runner-up Atletico Madrid.
