La Liga (Week 30) : Villarreal draw 2-2 with Barcelona
SPAIN, Mar. 20, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 30: The match between actual leader Barcelona and Villarreal ended in a frustrating 2-2 draw on Sunday.
Barcelona players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Rakitić ('20) and Neymar ('41 on penalty). However, even though they were leading 2-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Villarreal with goals by Bakambu Cedric ('57) and Jérémy Mathieu ('63 own).
FC Barcelona remains in first place with 76 points from 30 games, a 9-point lead over runner-up Atletico Madrid.
