La Liga (Week 36) : Gijon beats Eibar 2-0
SPAIN, Apr. 29, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 36: After losing 6-0 to Barcelona on April 23, Los Rojiblancos returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Eibar this Friday.
Sporting Gijon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Carmona Carlos in the 43rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Rojiblancos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Menendez Jonathan with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
SD Eibar remains in 12nd place with 42 points from 36 games, tie on points with Real Sociedad, which has a game in hand.
