SPAIN, Dec. 11, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 15: After their 0-0 draw against Atletico Madrid on December 3, Los Periquitos returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Sporting Gijon this Sunday.
Sporting Gijon made Espanyol doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Caicedo ('54) and Baptistao Leonardo ('90).
RCD Espanyol climbed to 9th place with 22 points from 15 games, tie on points with SD Eibar.
