SPAIN, Dec. 12, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 15: After a 0-0 draw with Espanyol on December 3, Los Colchoneros lost 3-0 against Villarreal.
Villarreal dominated the first half thanks to goals from Trigueros Manuel ('28) and Dos Santos Jonathan ('38). Leading 2-0 at the break, El Submarino Amarillo further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Soriano Bruno in stoppage time.
Villarreal CF climbed to fourth place with 26 points from 15 games, 4 points behind Sevilla FC.
