SPAIN, Feb. 4, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 21: After their 2-2 draw against Athletic Bilbao on January 28 and 0-0 draw against Alavés on January 28, Los Colchoneros returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Leganés this Saturday.
Fernando Torres scored dual goals
Atletico Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Fernando Torres in the 15th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Colchoneros further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Torres in the 51st minute.
Atletico Madrid remains in fourth place with 39 points from 21 games, 3 points behind Sevilla FC, which has a game in hand.
