La Liga (Week 8) : Real Madrid beats Getafe 2-1
SPAIN, Oct. 14, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 8: Three wins in a row for Real Madrid. After their success against Alavés and Espanyol, Los Blancos continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Getafe this Saturday.
Real Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by French forward Karim Benzema in the 39th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Blancos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Ronaldo with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Real Madrid climbed to second place with 17 points from 8 games, 4 points behind FC Barcelona, which has a game in hand.
