La Liga (Week 8) : Atletico and Barcelona play to a 1-1 draw
SPAIN, Oct. 14, 2017 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 8: The match between actual leader Barcelona and Atletico Madrid ended in a frustrating 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Atletico Madrid players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Atletico Madrid midfielder Saúl Ñiguez in the 21st minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Barcelona with a saving goal from Uruguayan forward Luis Suárez in the 82nd minute.
FC Barcelona remains in first place with 22 points from 8 games, a 5-point lead over runner-up Real Madrid.
