League Two (Week 16) : Southend defeats Mansfield 2-1
ENGLAND, Nov. 1, 2014 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 16: After their 1-1 draw against Bury on October 25, the Shrimpers bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Mansfield Town this Saturday.
Southend United dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Leonard in the 17th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Shrimpers further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Worrall in the 69th minute.
Southend United FC climbed to 7th place with 25 points from 16 games, 2 points behind Plymouth Argyle FC.
