Ligue 1 (Week 10) : Lyon defeats Montpellier 5-1
FRANCE, Oct. 19, 2014 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 10: Two wins in a row for Lyon. After their 3-0 win against Lille on October 5, “Les Gones” continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 5-1 victory over Montpellier this Sunday.
Yoann Gourcuff scored dual goals
Lyon dominated the first half thanks to goals from Gourcuff ('36) and Fekir ('38). Leading 2-0 at the break, “Les Gones” further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Gourcuff '47, Lacazette '82 and Malbranque '88).
Olympique Lyonnais climbed to fourth place with 17 points from 10 games, only one point behind Bordeaux.
