Ligue 1 (Week 7) : GFC Ajaccio draw 1-1 with Rennes
FRANCE, Sep. 23, 2015 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 7: Rennes was held to a 1-1 draw by GFC Ajaccio on Wednesday.
GFC Ajaccio players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Larbi in the 45th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Rennes with a saving goal from Ivorian forward Giovanni-Guy Yann Sio in the 89th minute.
Rennes are down in third place with 14 points from 7 games, 2 points behind Saint-Etienne.
