Ligue 1 (Week 9) : Lille beats Montpellier 2-0
FRANCE, Oct. 2, 2015 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 9: After losing 1-0 to Reims on September 29 and 0-1 to Nantes on September 29, Lille returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Montpellier this Friday.
Lille dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Sofiane Boufal in the 43rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Lille players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Sidibé in the 64th minute.
Lille climbed to 11st place with 10 points from 9 games, only one point behind Lorient, which has a game in hand.
