Ligue 1 (Week 35) : Rennes hold Monaco to 1-1

FRANCE, Apr. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 35: Monaco was held to a 1-1 draw by Rennes on Sunday.

The Monacos started off well by taking the lead thanks to Portuguese forward Costa Helder in the 14th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Rennes with a saving goal from Ivorian forward Giovanni-Guy Yann Sio in the 81st minute.

AS Monaco are down in third place with 59 points from 35 games, tie on points with Olympique Lyonnais.
