Ligue 1 (Week 6) : Rennes defeats Marseille 3-2
FRANCE, Sep. 21, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 6: After losing 3-0 to Monaco on September 17, Rennes returned to winning ways with a 3-2 victory over Marseille this Wednesday.
Rennes forward Giovanni-Guy Yann Sio opened the score in the 41st minute, before seeing Marseille catch up in the 44th minute thanks to Gomis Bafetimbi penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. Rennes eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Grosicki ('85 on penalty) and Hunou ('88).
Rennes climbed to 8th place with 10 points from 6 games, tie on points with Olympique Lyonnais.
