Ligue 1 (Week 18) : Lyon beats Monaco 3-1
FRANCE, Dec. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 18: After two straigth victories against Bastia and Bordeaux, Monaco lost 3-1 against Lyon.
Lyon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Rachid Ghezzal in the 29th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, “Les Gones” further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Valbuena Mathieu '65 and Lacazette '87).
AS Monaco remains in second place with 39 points from 18 games, 4 points behind OGC Nice.
