Ligue 1 (Week 8) : Marseille defeats Nice 4-2
FRANCE, Oct. 1, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 8: Three wins in a row for Marseille. After their success against Amiens SC and Toulouse, Marseille continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 4-2 victory over Nice this Sunday.
Lucas Ocampos scored dual goals
Nice opened the score in the score in the 4th minute thanks to Mario Balotelli, before Marseille regained the advantage with Ocampos ('26, '44) and Lees Melou Pierre ('41 own). Leading 3-2 at the break, Marseille players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Luiz Gustavo in the 48th minute.
Olympique de Marseille climbed to third place with 16 points from 8 games, 3 points behind AS Monaco.
