Ligue 2 (Week 23) : Nimes defeats Auxerre 2-1
FRANCE, Jan. 29, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 23: Four wins in a row for Nimes. After their success against Brest, Clermont and Nancy, the Crocodiles continued their sensational form in the Ligue 2 with a 2-1 victory over Auxerre this Friday.
Nimes dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Ripart Renaud in the 15th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Crocodiles further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Koura in the 59th minute.
AJ Auxerre remains in 8th place with 32 points from 23 games, 2 points behind Lens, which has a game in hand.
