Ligue 2 (Week 22) : Auxerre defeats Tours 2-1
FRANCE, Jan. 22, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 22: After losing 4-1 to Laval on January 15, AJA bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Tours this Friday.
Auxerre dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Gaëtan Courtet in the 9th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, AJA further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Guirassy with just 6 minutes remaining in regulation time.
AJ Auxerre climbed to 8th place with 32 points from 22 games, tie on points with Red Star FC, which has a game in hand.
