Ligue 2 (Week 3) : Brest defeats Red Star 3-0
FRANCE, Aug. 12, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 3: Two wins in a row for Brest. After their 2-1 win against Orleans on August 5, Brest continued their sensational form in the Ligue 2 with a 3-0 victory over Red Star this Friday.
Brest dominated the first half thanks to goals from Maupay ('40) and Grougi ('44). Leading 2-0 at the break, Brest players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Labidi with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Stade Brest climbed to first place with 7 points from 3 games, tie on points with runner-up FC Sochaux-Montbeliard.
