Ligue 2 (Week 7) : Valenciennes and Ajaccio play out 1-1 draw
FRANCE, Sep. 16, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 7: The match between Valenciennes and Ajaccio ended in a 1-1 draw on Friday.
Valenciennes players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Senegalese defender Saliou Ciss on penalty in the 4th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Ajaccio with a saving goal from Ajaccio forward Mouaad Madri in the 53rd minute.
Valenciennes FC remains in 7th place with 10 points from 7 games, one point behind Clermont Foot.
