Ligue 2 (Week 6) : Red Star defeats Ajaccio 2-1
FRANCE, Sep. 9, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 6: After their 0-0 draw against Le Havre on August 27, L'Étoile rouge bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Ajaccio this Friday.
Ajaccio had started off well by taking the lead in the 8th minute with a goal by midfielder Johan Cavalli. Trailing 1-0 at half time, L'Étoile rouge nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Ngamukol Anatole '71 and Bouazza Hameur '76 on penalty).
AC Ajaccio are down in 12nd place with 7 points from 6 games, tie on points with Troyes AC, which has a game in hand.
