FRANCE, Sep. 17, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 7: After losing 0-2 to Clermont on September 9, Brest bounced back with a 1-0 victory over Auxerre this Saturday.
Auxerre made Brest doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Brest forward Neal Maupay on penalty in the 71st minute.
Stade Brest climbed to first place with 14 points from 7 games, one point ahead of runner-up Amiens Sporting Club, which has a game in hand.
