MLS : Vancouver defeats Portland 2-1
CANADA, May. 7, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After losing 3-2 to New York City on April 30, the Caps bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Portland Timbers this Saturday.
Portland Timbers had started off well by taking the lead in the 34th minute with a goal by Borchers Nat. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Caps nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Kudo Masato '60 and Bolanos Christian '66).
Vancouver Whitecaps FC climbed to 9th place with 14 points from 11 games, tie on points with Sporting Kansas City.
