MLS : San Jose beats Vancouver 2-1

CANADA, Aug. 12, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After three straigth draws, the Quakes bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps this Friday.

San Jose Earthquakes dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Amarikwa Quincy in the 14th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Quakes further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Dawkins Simon in the 60th minute.

San Jose Earthquakes climbed to 12nd place with 31 points from 23 games, tie on points with Philadelphia Union.
