OFC Nations Cup 2012 : Tahiti defeats Samoa 10-1
HONIARA, Jun. 1, 2012 (AMP) — Solomon 2012 : Tahiti defeated Samoa by a big score of 10-1 (halftime: 4-0), in a OFC Nations Cup group stage game on Friday at the Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara.
L. Tehau served up another goal feast
Tahiti dominated the first half thanks to goals from L. Tehau ('8), J. Tehau ('16) and A. Tehau ('18, '40). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Tahitians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring six times (T. Tehau '54, Chong Hue '61, J. Tehau '78 and L. Tehau '82, '84, '85).
The result put the Tahitians top of Group A with 3 points. In their next game, Tahiti will meet New Caledonia at the Lawson Tama Stadium on June 3, while Samoa will face Vanuatu.
