OFC Nations Cup 2012 : Vanuatu beats Samoa 5-0
HONIARA, Jun. 3, 2012 (AMP) — Solomon 2012 : Vanuatu defeated Samoa by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a OFC Nations Cup group stage game on Sunday at the Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara.
Vanuatu dominated the first half thanks to goals from Naprapol ('29) and B. Kaltack ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Vanuatuans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Malas '47, Tasso '74 and Vava '90).
The result put the Vanuatuans third in Group A with 3 points. Samoa is bottom with no points. In their last game, Vanuatu will meet group leaders Tahiti at the Lawson Tama Stadium on June 5, while Samoa will face New Caledonia.
