Tahiti beats Vanuatu to advance to OFC Nations Cup semifinals
HONIARA, Jun. 5, 2012 (AMP) — Solomon 2012 : Tahiti defeated Vanuatu by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a OFC Nations Cup group stage game on Tuesday afternoon at the Lawson Tama Stadium in Honiara.
Tahiti dominated the first half thanks to goals from Vallar ('14 on penalty) and J. Tehau ('37). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Tahitians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (A. Tehau '57 and T. Tehau '86).
