Premier League (Week 22) : Tottenham beats Sunderland 2-1
ENGLAND, Jan. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 22: After losing 2-1 to Crystal Palace on January 10, the Spurs returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Sunderland this Saturday.
Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen opened the score in the 3rd minute, before seeing Sunderland catch up in the 31st minute thanks to Sebastian Larsson. 1-1 at half time. The Spurs eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Eriksen with just 2 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Tottenham Hotspur climbed to fifth place with 37 points from 22 games, 2 points behind Southampton, which has a game in hand.
