Premier League (Week 22) : Liverpool beats Aston Villa 2-0
ENGLAND, Jan. 17, 2015 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 22: Two wins in a row for Liverpool. After their 0-1 win against Sunderland on January 10, the Reds continued their sensational form in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa this Saturday.
Liverpool dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Italian forward Fabio Borini in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Reds further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Lambert in the 79th minute.
Liverpool climbed to 7th place with 35 points from 22 games, only one point behind Arsenal, which has a game in hand.
