Premier League (Week 8) : Watford beats Arsenal 2-1

ENGLAND, Oct. 14, 2017 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 8: After two straigth victories against West Brom and Brighton & Hove Albion, the Gunners lost 2-1 against Watford.

Arsenal had started off well by taking the lead in the 39th minute with a goal by German defender Per Mertesacker. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Hornets nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Deeney '71 on penalty and Cleverley '90).

Watford FC climbed to fourth place with 15 points from 8 games, 2 points behind Tottenham Hotspur.
