Premier League (Week 8) : Southampton and Newcastle play to a 2-2 draw
ENGLAND, Oct. 15, 2017 (AMP) — Premier League / Match day 8: The match between Southampton and Newcastle ended in a 2-2 draw on Sunday.
Newcastle players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Hayden Isaac in the 20th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Pérez goal ('51) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Southampton with dual goals from Italian forward Manolo Gabbiadini ('49 and '75/penalty.
Newcastle United remains in 9th place with 11 points from 8 games, 2 points behind Liverpool.
