Primeira Liga (Week 8) : Sporting defeats Maritimo 4-2
PORTUGAL, Oct. 26, 2014 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 8: Two wins in a row for Sporting Lisbon. After their 0-4 win against Penafiel on October 4, the Sportinguistas continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 4-2 victory over Maritimo this Sunday.
Sporting Lisbon dominated the first half thanks to goals from Bauer ('8 own), Mario ('15) and Oliveira ('42). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Sportinguistas further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Montero in the 66th minute.
Sporting Clube de Portugal remains in fourth place with 16 points from 8 games, one point behind Vitoria SC.
